Rail Line Operator
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for loading and shipping product to meet Anchor Ingredients high quality standards, while ensuring the day-to-day operational needs are done in a safe and timely manner. This position will prep, stage and load rail cars.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Rail Line Operations

Be able to safely and efficiently clean and stage rail cars in loading area
- Operate payloader to move railcars via rope method or knuckle hookup
- Documenting and performing rail car inspections on Ipad prior to loading
- Seal outbound railcars for shipment?
- Unload trailer while monitoring level in rail car, moving car as it fills?
- Seal and document rail car, submitting paperwork and product retain sample
- Assist South plant operator when time allows with truck loading and unloading

Be part of the team
- This position supports the overall production of multiple facilities
- Must be able to work with on site supervisors to ensure proper schedule
- Must be able to work with other scale house or process operators
Housekeeping
- Clean up any mess before going home for the day ensuring no personal belongings or garbage is left at workstations or other shared common areas
- Sweep around the pit between loads and the entire scale once per shift
- Put tools back in their places after each use
- Disconnect air hoses when they are not in use
- Take trash to dumpster with it is full
- Other Duties: mow lawn, shovel snow, move trailers, extra clean up and any other tasks that need to be completed around the facility as assigned
General
- Trouble shoot and communicate breakdowns to our Maintenance team and Supervisor
- Utilize all members of the team to accomplish tasks, holding yourself and others accountable for duties performed. Ask for help when needed.
- Prioritize employee and food safety first, facility production second and dumping and loading trucks as the third priority.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a valid Class A CDL license to drive Semi Truck and Trailer
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships

- lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- stand for extended periods of time
- work in dust
- open traps on trailers/trucks
- work in extreme heat/cold
- work in confined spaces
- work at significant heights
