What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Pediatrics position at Anchor Medical Associates?
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Completion of all activities accurately, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients/family members and document basic medical information
- Obtain vital signs, perform health screening and testing according to established protocols
- Administer immunizations, perform CLIA-waived testing & procedures according to established protocols
- Assist during medical examinations
- Update patient electronic medical records, scan reports and document test results
- Assist during medical examinations
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with all members of the primary care team
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Schedule
- Monday: 7:45AM - 5:30PM
- Tuesday: 7:45AM - 1:00PM
- Wednesday: 7:45AM - 7:00PM
- Thursday: 7:45AM - 7:00PM
- Friday: Off
- Every other weekend Saturday & Sunday: 8:00AM - 12:00PM
- Participate in holiday rotation: 8:00AM - 12:00PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.40 - $23.90 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
