ANCHOR PACKAGING is a growing manufacturer of disposable food service packaging located in Northeastern Arkansas is looking for PRODUCTION / BLOWN FILM HELPERS for our Marmaduke Plant. Anchor Packaging operates 4 locations in NE Arkansas. The NE Arkansas area offers a wide variety of activities to residents in a medium-size college community as well as in a communities which are more rural, all are within a short drive of large metro areas. The area communities have excellent schools, affordable housing, and exceptional healthcare. ANCHOR PACKAGING has experienced tremendous growth since the early 60’s with no lay-offs or cut-backs. We offer 2 days shift and 2 night shifts.

The Production Helper's (Blown Film Helper's) primary responsibility is to assist the Blown Film Operator in the safe, efficient production of quality rolls of film meet all product specifications to satisfy the customer and enhance the growth of the Anchor Packaging.

Qualifications :

Education / Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months-related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability :
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability :
Ability read a tape measure to 1 / 16” accuracy. Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills :
Basic data entry computer skills needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may frequently lift and / or move shafts or rolls up to 70 pounds. Blown Film Operator Trainees lift mandrels and carry rolls to weight them and place them on skids. Sets of film can come off as quick as every three (3) minutes or sooner depending on production speeds. Lifting requirements and speed of lines will vary with scheduling of the Blown Film lines.
