What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at Anchor's Way Marina?
THIS IS A PART-TIME & SEASONAL POSITION WITH A SET SCHEDULE AND PAY! This position would be from mid/end-March through the end of October 2025 with the first choice to return for the 2026 season. This position would be Monday – Friday 8AM to 11AM with alternating Saturdays 9A to 2P. NO SUNDAYS.
We are looking to hire an organized, punctual office assistant to join our small crew for the 2025 boating season. In this role, your duties will include maintaining communication with customers, maintaining and filing customer documentation, taking payments, creating invoices, and ensuring that the admin office runs smoothly. Our office is not hectic and has much downtime many days. This position would be great for a college student!
To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional organizational and communication skills; have a willingness to help in any aspect needed, have great attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when working with customers. Applicants with boating experience are highly encouraged to apply, though boating experience is not required – willing to train the right person.
Daily tasks include:
- Answering phones, taking messages, and transferring calls
- Scheduling launch and/or haul out appointments; and/or service work
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail, email and any other correspondence
- Maintaining databases and filing systems
- Basic invoice handling; taking payments
- Handling sensitive information confidentially.
- Monitoring stocks of office supplies, maintaining the cleanliness of the office and its facilities.
- Providing support to colleagues whenever necessary
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: From $12.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
