What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Anchor Talent & Consulting?
Anchor Talent has a short-term contract with a local manufacturer who is seeking a Senior Accountant to support their Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in GAAP, experience in manufacturing accounting, and a strong understanding of working with companies engaged in government contracts.
This is a contract role with project expectation of 3-4 months.
Duties:
- Review and manage financial records for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform detailed costing analysis, including job costing and overhead allocations.
- Handle complex reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Manage and account for transactions between multiple entities
- Calculate, enter, and post transactions to the General Ledger to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Provide supporting schedules, reconciliations, and roll forward worksheets for various General Ledger Accounts.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with government contracting requirements and other regulatory standards
- Assist with other accounting projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5 years of Accounting experience preferably within manufacturing or logistics
- GAAP knowledge
- Experience with companies securing government contracts
- Sage software, preferably Sage50 experience
- Excellent communication and experience liaising across departments, stakeholders and executives
Salary : $40 - $60
