Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of service in our establishment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an efficient seating chart to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely service.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, utilizing strong phone etiquette.
- Assist in managing the dining area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Provide information about menu items and specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining atmosphere.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for this role.
- Experience in food service or hotel environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
