Job Purpose:
This position performs quality control functions to assure compliance with project and Owner requirements under general supervision. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and work is reviewed by general supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
· Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.
· Manages work in accordance with project goals, contract and customer requirements and expectations, including performance, quality, compliance, and safety as outlined in the contract terms and conditions.
· Drives, promotes, and instills a culture of “Safety Leadership” that is incident and injury free and in which all employees feel responsible for safety and pursue it daily.
· Will perform field and/or Fab Shop inspections.
· Advise and consult the Principal QC/QA in the planning and execution of project quality control requirements.
· Works on and assists in making changes on non-conformance reports.
· Notifies superiors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and specs.
· Performing special process and field installation inspections and surveillance of equipment and materials.
· Studies engineering drawings, suggests changes in them and makes changes within scope of responsibility or upon approval.
· Maintain compliance with established project, corporate and customer quality assurance and control requirements.
· Review engineering drawings and track quality progress based on scope of work document.
· Updates Quality Control files.
· Assist in the processing of installation procedures.
· Conduct performance reviews and provide input on development plans for subordinates.
· Performing special process and field installation inspections and surveillance of equipment and materials.
· Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.
· Possess current knowledge of Engineering, Business Administration, quality control and organizational practices.
· Ensure all crew members have the required skills and abilities to perform job tasks safely and correctly.
· Regularly communicate expectations to crew with respect to work execution, safety, procedures, efficiency and encourage open communication from team members.
· Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
· Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.
· Provide regular and timely feedback regarding performance.
· Make certain that all incidents are promptly reported.
· Continually seek improvement in work processes.
· Possess current knowledge of organizational practices.

Physical Demand/Work Environment:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certificate per AWS QC1.
- Minimum of four (4) years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of six (6) years of related mechanical quality control field experience.
- Minimum of one (1) years’ experience operating Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to be covered by Worley’s auto insurer.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- NACE/AMPP level 2 minimum coating inspector preferred.
