About the Team
The Maintenance Team plays a crucial role in ensuring that all AKBH facilities are safe, clean, well-maintained, and equipped for day-to-day operations. As a part of this team, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate with other maintenance technicians and janitorial staff members to create a pleasant working environment for our employees.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and safety of equipment, machinery, and systems. This may involve conducting preventative maintenance, lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and performing repairs as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests or work orders from staff members. Address issues such as leaks, faulty wiring, broken fixtures, or malfunctioning equipment, and resolve them in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and ensure a safe environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks to prevent accidents or injuries. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards pertaining to equipment maintenance, electrical systems, and building safety.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, repairs made, parts used, parts bought and any other relevant information. This documentation helps in tracking maintenance history, identifying recurring issues, and planning future maintenance schedules.

- Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Pay Range is between $19.23 and $24.89 DOE
- AKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, 401k with immediate vesting and up to 5% match, 3% automatically contributed by AKBH, and 5 weeks of PTO for the first year, and 8 weeks of PTO after the first year.

- Physical ability to safety lift over 50 pounds and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and climb as needed.
- Physical capability to work in all weather conditions including freezing temperatures.
