About the Team
Our medical department is dedicated to helping our clients improve their lives through a coordinated approach to care involving clients, their caregivers, their clinical staff, and primary care providers. We are proud to be part of a state-wide community of people who share our values, and part of a company that supports us so we can support our clients! The Certified Medical Assistants work as members of the medical / nursing team to provide care to a mentally ill population.
What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care by assisting clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility support, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and safety.
- Monitor, record, and report vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, and oxygen levels, while also observing and documenting behavioral health changes, ensuring timely intervention for client well-being.
- Support medication adherence by providing medication reminders, tracking administration schedules, and assisting with basic treatment procedures.
- Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral health support by recognizing early signs of emotional distress, implementing de-escalation techniques, and working alongside behavioral health providers to ensure a safe and structured environment for both clients and staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and infection-controlled environment by adhering to sanitization protocols, equipment cleaning procedures, and PPE guidelines, creating a safe and welcoming space for clients receiving care.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, clinical associates, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, holistic care, ensuring clients receive the physical, emotional, and behavioral support they need to thrive.
