We are looking for the next executive editor of the Anchorage Daily News.

What you’ll do:
- Lead with purpose: Oversee editorial direction to deliver compelling, trusted, essential content across digital and print platforms.
- Inspire excellence: Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture of high-quality, high-value journalism while inspiring, mentoring, and developing newsroom staff and managers.
- Engage the community: Be a public face of ADN, building trust and transparency with our readers and our community.
- Drive growth: Utilize data and emerging technologies to engage, grow, and retain audiences, focusing on reaching new segments.
- Strategize for success: Manage the editorial budget, align newsroom efforts with organizational goals, and explore innovative revenue opportunities.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven leader with at least 10 years of experience in high-quality news production and 5 years as an editor in a digital-first newsroom.
- A mastery of a wide range of news skills, ethics, and values.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of driving audience engagement and team success.
- Knowledge of Alaska's current events, history, and public policy, with a commitment to reflecting diverse community voices.
- Expertise in leveraging analytics, emerging technologies, industry best practices, and innovative strategies to deliver high-impact journalism.
