Job Summary
The Director of Migrant Education implements and maintains educational and social support for migrant students in adherence with Anchorage School District goals and guardrails as well as state and federal regulations. This position is responsible for the management and administration of the Title I-C Migrant Education Program. The director collaborates with school-based and department staff, district administration, community organizations, and the Migrant Education Parent Advisory Committee to establish and maintain a program that improves education outcomes for students. The director is based at the ASD Education Center and reports to the senior director of Mental Health and Student Support. This position has a retirement association with the Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS).

The physical demands of this job require frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking and hearing. Specific visual abilities are also required.
