Job Summary
The Student Nutrition Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of a warehouse dedicated to supporting the child nutrition program. This position involves managing inventory, overseeing product delivery, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations to guarantee the timely and safe delivery of nutritious food to children. This position will report to the Student Nutrition logistics supervisor. The position has a retirement association with the Public Employees’ Retirement System.
Job Requirements
The following are required :
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience, education, and training will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
- Previous experience in warehouse management or logistics, especially in food distribution.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Commitment to the mission of providing nutritious meals to children.
Essential Job Functions
Physical / Mental Demands
The physical demands of this job require frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking and hearing. Specific visual abilities are also required. The employee is regularly required to reach with his / her hands and arms and occasionally lift items weighing less than 40 lbs. Additionally, the employee must be able to understand vague and implicit instructions, be able to readily recall facts and details, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. The employee must have the ability to effectively manage the stress of working with students, parents, and other employees representing diverse cultures, personalities, and work styles in a dynamic work environment.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a professional environment with a wide variety of individuals having differing functions, personalities and abilities, including working with diverse groups of people in a variety of different settings.
