Screen Printing Automatic Press Operator

Job Summary:
As a Screen Printing Automatic Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining automatic screen printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with team members to ensure production targets are met while maintaining strict quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operating Automatic Screen Printing Presses: Set up and operate automatic screen printing presses according to job specifications, including loading/unloading garments, adjusting settings, and monitoring production runs.
• Quality Control: Inspect printed materials for quality defects, such as registration issues, ink coverage, and print consistency. Make adjustments to press settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep presses running smoothly.
• Material Handling: Handle and organize blank garments for printing, ensuring proper alignment and placement on the press.
• Adherence to Safety Procedures: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Production Scheduling: Work closely with production managers and schedulers to prioritize jobs and meet deadlines. Communicate any issues or delays that may impact production schedules.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other press operators, screen printers, and production staff to optimize workflow and maximize efficiency. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth handoffs between production stages.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating automatic screen printing presses mandatory.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of screen printing techniques, inks, and substrates.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling printing materials and operating machinery.
• Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes hot/cold environment.
