The Site Safety Rep will perform a variety of tasks in efforts to promote safety education across the organization. The Safety Rep will participate in numerous employee environmental, health and safety education programs in both classroom and field settings. The Safety Rep will also conduct numerous facility and job site safety audits and will promote a health and safe business culture.

Job Description
The Site Safety Rep will perform a variety of tasks in efforts to promote safety education across the organization. The Safety Rep will participate in numerous employee environmental, health and safety education programs in both classroom and field settings. The Safety Rep will also conduct numerous facility and job site safety audits and will promote a health and safe business culture.
More Specifically, The Safety Rep Will Be Responsible To
- Involvement with worker education (classroom and or field), as it pertains to environmental, health and safety training needs
- Will conduct jobsite and facility safety audits and inspections ensuring company policies and practices are followed
- Will assume safety roles in the process of emergency response activities
- Assist with the enforcement of compliance requirements in all areas associated with the EHS Department
- Assist the EHS Department with incident/accident investigation processes and coordinating corrective actions
- Additional related duties as deemed necessary by the Safety Department
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not required. Will consider task related college experience, certification programs, and a minimum of 3-5 years of task related experience
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 500/501 preferred
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 3-5 years working experience within oil refinery settings or in like settings/processes within the oil and gas industry
- Candidates must be able to satisfactorily pass the company security and criminal background processes
- Candidate must satisfactorily pass a company administered physical and drug/alcohol pre-employment test prior to securing employment
- Candidate must be able to travel 20-40% of his/her time spent during the course of employment
- Candidate must have a presence in the field greater than 50% of the time
- Field specific credentials and training certifications highly recommended for the selection process
