General Position Summary:

The Director of Operations is a key member of the Bridge of Grace Ministries leadership team and is accountable for creating a strong group of professionals through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, and development. The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and directing daily operations including: human resources, financial processes and compliances, administrative management, system and processes management. He/She engages in high level strategy and decision-making processes to meet the current and anticipated needs of Bridge of Grace.

        Salary
Range: $65,000—$80,000                                   Effective: January 2025

Experience and Qualifications:

  • BA Degree in business management, non-profit management, or related field
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated leadership, team development, and project management
  • Understanding of relevant federal and state employment laws and experience in applying policy effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as analytical, organizational, and presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization
  • Deep understanding of accounting, reporting, and annual budgeting; ability to manage cost control and financial/budget expectation
  • Excel at operating in a fast-paced, community-focused environment with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to organize and perform work efficiently with strong attention to details, using creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong track record of hiring and developing talented staff
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within a diverse environment
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • The Director of Operations is experienced in coaching, mentoring, and developing people
  • Manages and oversees operational work including staffing, supervision, development, evaluation, goal setting, performance reviews, and team building
  • The Director of Operations leads by example based on guidelines, procedures and organizational values, with value-driven leadership, making operational decisions essential to achieve excellent outcomes
  • Must consistently challenge each aspect of the operational process to improve team skills, communication, systems, and enhance efficiency while working closely with finance and technology to improve operations and oversee budget
  • Works closely with the Leadership Team to ensure Bridge of Grace is in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Manages process changes, enhancements, and modifications to facilitate implementation of new or improved processes
  • Responsible for development and management of departments budget
  • Supports all departments to meet strategic and operational needs
  • Assist in managing and overseeing organization policy and procedure manuals to ensure Bridge of Grace is up to date with current law and practice at all times
  • Understands and supports the goals and objectives of Bridge of Grace
  • Participates in strategic planning as required
  • Builds, collaborates, and develops a work environment that promotes a good culture, creativity, and teamwork among leadership team, management, and all staff

Physical Requirements: Sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods (up to four hours at a time). Employees must recognize that working in the non-profit environment is demanding work, which sometimes requires working long or irregular hours.
