General Position Summary:
The Mowing Crew Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing commercial and residential mowing projects for MVP Mowing, a social enterprise of Bridge of Grace Ministries. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring timely project completion, maintaining high-quality standards, and achieving client satisfaction. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience in commercial mowing operations, leadership, and project management.
Title: Mowing Foreman Department: MVP Mowing
Exempt/Non-exempt: Non-Exempt Reports to: General Manager
Salary/Hourly Range: $22-25/hour Effective: April 01, 2025

Experience and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Technician (RT) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in mowing operations or related field.
- Strong knowledge of commercial mowing practices, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Proficiency in operating mowing machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Plan, organize, and execute mowing projects according to specifications.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project flow.
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and manage a mowing crew, providing guidance, training, and ongoing support.
- Delegate tasks effectively to promote efficiency and high performance.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings and check-ins to discuss progress, address issues, and provide feedback.
Technical Expertise:
- Operate commercial lawn equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and more.
- Ensure proper mowing techniques, including correct height adjustments for healthy lawns.
Quality Control:
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and client expectations.
- Make necessary adjustments to achieve the highest quality results.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours.
- Assist with budgeting and cost estimation for projects.
- Report project status to the General Manager regularly.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Lifting heavy objects (50 lbs on a frequent basis), bending, and operating heavy equipment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
