What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Aide (every other weekend) position at Ancora Compassionate Care?
Part-time Hospice Aide for an Inpatient Hospice Facility- 7 pm to 7 am every other Saturday and Sunday. Must have CNA certification.
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to hospice patients in an inpatient facility.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Clean and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
- Follow established systems for medication reminders and administration
- Assist with medical documentation and record keeping
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients

- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining medical records and documentation
- Knowledge of special needs and considerations for hospice patients
