What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at ANCRA INTERNATIONAL, LLC?
Key Responsibilities and Priorities :
- Safety is our number one priority. This role will promote safety culture through participation in the weekly safety toolbox talks.
- Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers
- Identify new sources of supply to develop supply chain competition
- Improve existing supplier’s performance
- Work with Planning on demand requirements and lead time expectations
- Work with Customer Service to ensure costs are competitive with our market competition
- Negotiate costs with suppliers utilizing available market information
- Identify and complete cost saving projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :
Years of Experience Required : 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area
Education Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
Certifications : CPIM Preferred
REQUIREMENTS (Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands) :
Ability to work on a PC including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods throughout the course of the work day.
