Role and Responsibilities:
The Sales Representative is responsible for selling ADC’s complete line of high-quality products to new and existing accounts in their assigned market. Must be able to maintain and grow existing account base. The role of the Sales Representative includes, but is not limited to-
- Responsible for selling to existing accounts and developing new accounts in an assigned territory
- Responsible for keeping an assigned account within payment terms. May be responsible for collecting for checks and drafts that do not clear.
- Able to attend all sales and training meetings.
- Schedule and perform frequent store visits which should include the following; presenting promotions and new products to store owners/managers, reviewing programs such as WAM or OnPoint with account decision makers, replacing tags for deleted or slow-selling items within an account, seeking opportunities to grow existing business within an account, developing a strong relationship with accounts in a trusted advisor role.
- Communicate information to account such as product availability, recalls, holiday order/delivery schedules, etc.
- Handle credit requests with accounts during scheduled visits.
- Communicating important information to ADC management such as accounts changing ownership, sudden drops in orders or inventory levels at an account, store closures (whether temporary or permanent), etc.
- Other tasks as assigned by ADC management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must be able to travel within assigned territory, company vehicle provided. Must be able to communicate with store owners and employees. Must be able to lift totes which may weigh up to 50 pounds. Clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
Business-to-Business Sales Experience, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods or Wholesale industries. Retail Convenience Store experience also desirable.
