Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting a Painter to join the hotel’s opening team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. Opening in late 2024, the property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who’s who of Miami. Spanning 25,000 square feet of innovative indoor and outdoor event space, Andaz Miami Beach will become a landing spot for guests and locals seeking celebratory gatherings that embrace the city's culture of music, art, and fashion.

Position Summary

An Engineering Coordinator will be responsible for An Engineering Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the engineering department. This role will involve coordinating maintenance schedules, ensuring the completion of work orders, and assisting in various engineering projects. The Engineering Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Engineering to ensure the smooth operation of all technical and maintenance aspects of the hotel.

Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

• Coordinate and manage engineering work orders, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation.
• Maintain and organize the engineering department’s records, files, and reports.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs for all hotel systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Track and monitor maintenance supplies and inventory, ensuring sufficient stock levels.
• Provide administrative support for engineering projects, including cost tracking, progress updates, and reporting.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient resolution of engineering-related issues affecting guest services.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining budgets for engineering operations and repair works.
• Support the Director of Engineering in daily operations, ensuring effective use of resources and ensuring hotel compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in coordinating contractor work and vendors, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of tasks.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and help maintain a safe working environment for the engineering team and the entire hotel.
• Maintain a high level of p rofessionalism and service in all guest and staff interactions, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or relevant technical certification in engineering, maintenance, or hospitality management preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hotel or facilities management environment, preferably in an engineering or maintenance role.
• Skills and Knowledge:
• Knowledge of hotel maintenance systems and operations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Basic understanding of engineering systems and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (e.g., CMMS systems).
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpersonal Skills:
• Ability to work well with a diverse team and collaborate effectively with other hotel departments.
• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on resolving maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move or handle equipment as necessary.
• Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts when required.
