Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Travel Nurse RN Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a travel nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This 13-week assignment is available at Sutter Health Alta Bates Summit Medical Center Ashby in Berkeley, California.
Job Summary
The ICU travel nurse RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures under the guidance of a physician.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized patient care, prioritizing needs based on acuity and urgency.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications, including IV drips and injections, as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, lab results, and medication administration.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting lines, draining wounds, and providing respiratory support.
Requirements
To be considered for this ICU travel nurse RN position, you must possess:
- A valid California RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience working in an ICU setting, preferably with critical care patients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
