Job Description
We are seeking a travel Histology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing histological procedures to prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination. This includes but is not limited to staining, sectioning, embedding, and mounting of tissues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various histological procedures including tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning.
- Analyze tissue samples to ensure proper preparation for microscopic examination.
- Operate and maintain histological equipment such as microtomes and slide stainers.
- Follow established protocols for quality control and quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or related field required.
- AAS degree or certification from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience in histology with expertise in manual and automated processing techniques.
- Knowledge of principles and methods of histological processing, sectioning, and staining.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
