Overview:
An established civil engineering firm is seeking a Vice President of Water/Wastewater Engineering to lead strategic initiatives and oversee major municipal projects in Central Texas. This executive role will drive technical excellence, business growth, and team development while ensuring successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Technical Leadership
- Set the vision for the Water/Wastewater Engineering practice, aligning with firm-wide goals.
- Serve as the senior technical expert for water/wastewater systems, including treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, and master planning.
- Direct technical and financial management of large-scale municipal projects.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, local agencies, and industry partners.
- Oversee proposal development, contract negotiations, and strategic pursuits.
Team Development & Project Management
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team of engineers and project managers.
- Ensure quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Texas PE license required.
- Proven experience leading water/wastewater projects for municipalities in Central Texas (City of Austin experience preferred).
- Strong business acumen, including budget management and contract negotiations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
