POSITION SUMMARY
Dispatches customer service technicians to install, service, and repair lift trucks, conveyor systems, horizontal or vertical storage systems, or automated guided vehicle systems by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Records customer requests for service, including customer address, contact, phone number, equipment, and type and scope of service to be performed. Reviews customer requests for service to ascertain cause for service request, type of malfunction, and customer location.
Contacts service technicians over radio or telephone to obtain or give information and directions regarding service or installation activities.
Determines and schedules orders according to urgency.
Maintains a safe work area and ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Receives check in calls from service workers by radio, telephone, or in person.
Informs workers of type and location of work to be performed and dispatches workers to job.
Keeps records of repairs, installation, removal of equipment, and hours required on each job.
