Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional shopping experience, assisting customers with their purchases, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in a friendly manner.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
• Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking merchandise as needed.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members and provide guidance when necessary.
• Conduct inventory checks and assist with retail math calculations to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain the store in neat and orderly fashion, which includes some light housekeeping daily and restocking of packaging/checkout materials.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as this will enhance customer interactions.
• Familiarity with retail math and inventory management practices is advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the store's schedule.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling products, recognition and understanding of meeting sales goals, and enhancing customer satisfaction is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.34 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
