Rare opportunity to join our well-established and fun family law team as an associate attorney! This position is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least one year of experience in family law. (Please note at this time we are seeking a licensed attorney who has already passed the State of Illinois Bar Examination.)
Anderson Boback & Marshall has been serving clients in the field of domestic relations for over 20 years. Our firm has a reputation for being zealous advocates for our clients. Our attorneys are detail orientated, team focused, hardworking, and have a great working relationship with our trusted clients. Our firm is well known in the family law division because we practice there every day. You will have the opportunity to be trained by our partners, meet the judges who will decide your cases and you will be offered feedback as you build your trial skills. This position will require drafting pleadings and discovery, reviewing case files, appearing for Court, being involved in settlement negotiations, meeting with clients, communicating with clients about their cases and taking the case to trial, when necessary.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, who has the communication skills to be able to effectively work with clients and is able to handle the ever growing and changing legal matters in the domestic relations division. Our current cases include divorces, parentage court, child support, parenting time, modification of prior family court orders, adoptions and some guardianship work.
A well-qualified applicant will have excellent people skills, strong writing and organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Potential starting at $80,000 per year, however, pay will be commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities.
Hybrid Work Environment: Both work from home and in office opportunities so long as Court appearances remain hybrid and work is being timely and efficiently completed.
