TITLE : Custodian
REPORTS TO : Principal w / oversight from the Head Custodian
DESCRIPTION : Custodians are responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and tending to the facilities of the school which includes, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, buffing and waxing floors, washing windows, cleaning restrooms, changing filters and lights, performing basic facility repair and maintenance, and moving / maintaining equipment.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Clean and maintain school facilities.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining outdoor areas.
- Resupply toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and other supplies within the restrooms, offices, and classrooms.
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and cafeteria areas.
- Transport equipment and furniture; set up chairs and tables for events, as needed.
- Remove and dispose of trash and recycling regularly.
- Ensure all supplies are stored properly and that storage areas are clean and organized.
- Maintain and repair related equipment as needed.
- Participates in staff development programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : 250 days. Salary is to be determined by the Custodial Salary Schedule established by the Anderson School District Three Board of Trustees.

EVALUATION : Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the principal.
