Parks Attendent

POSITION: Parks Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Parks & Recreations
Responsibilities:
Works under general supervision of the Parks Department Manager. Performs water quality duties and maintenance of swimming pools. Coordinates and assists with overall operation and maintenance of County Parks. Performs diversified duties as governed by general instruction, policies, and standard operating procedures of the Department.
Competencies for Successful Performance of Job Duties
- Good knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a watchman; good knowledge of cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with recreational facilities; ability to size up a situation and take an effective course of action; ability to be courteous and yet firm with the public; ability to follow oral and/or written directions; integrity; reliability; alertness; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate or able to obtain within three (3) months.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal Education and Experience
- 6 months training beyond High School
- 3 to 5 years of experiences
