What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Crew Chief position at Anderson Engineering?
Anderson Engineering of MN, LLC, is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our diverse project team in Plymouth, MN. This is a year-round, full-time position where you will be working on a variety of local, State and Federal projects throughout the United States. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will support the survey team by leading, performing, and overseeing a wide variety of survey field projects; existing conditions, topographic, ALTA’s, as-built surveys, hydrographic, drone lidar, drone photometric, and construction layout. In addition to survey projects, you will also have the opportunity to work with cross-disciplinary project teams including civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, environmental and landscape architecture.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of survey crew chief experience
- Self-motivated, dependable, have strong communication skills, ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Superior attention to detail, and possess strong follow-through skills.
· Ability to mentor survey field technicians
- Knowledge and ability to apply solid judgement of surveying principles
- Ability and knowledge to read and interpret survey data, maps and plan sets. Ability to compute field points and adjustments.
- Willingness to travel within the United States to meet project requirements.
- Valid Driver’s License (Insurable) and clean driving record.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficient in operation Trimble survey equipment. Trimble R12I, Trimble TSC7, Trimble S7 Robotic Total Stations, Trimble X7 Scanner, and Trimble Dini.
- Assist Professional Land Surveyors with deed research, boundary and easement analysis.
- Understand field-to-finish workflow.
- AutoCad drafting experience.
- LSIT
- Experience with Drone surveying.
- UAS Drone Pilot. (DJI Matric 300 RTK.)
