Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures and the ability to work effectively with both patients and the dental team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Take medical imaging, including X-rays, and ensure accurate documentation of patient records.
• Maintain knowledge of dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
• Manage medical records efficiently, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and confidential.
• Support various dental specialties such as endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
• Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential for effective communication within the team.
• Experience in specialized areas such as endodontics or pediatric dentistry will be considered an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week
