2K Assistant Teacher

First Baptist Child Development Center has employment opportunities available. Our center is seeking trained motivated individuals with experience caring for children.

Must be available to work M-F.

The mission of First Baptist Church Child Development Center is embodying each child physically, mentally, and spiritually by offering a developmental curriculum and providing a stimulating enrichment program in a Christian environment for ages 6 weeks – 10 years of age.

Experience:

- Childcare experience preferred

- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED

- Must pass an FBI and Central Registry background check

- Must complete 15 hours of CCCD approved training in Curriculum, Growth & Development, Professional Development, or Health and Safety yearly / some ECD courses will count toward training

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment for students.
• Provide childcare support, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Support early childhood education initiatives and promote developmental milestones.
• Participate in curriculum development and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
