What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardscape Installer position at Anderson Landscape Construction?
Anderson Landscape has been crafting Maine landscapes for almost 30 years. We are a family-owned, landscape design/build and excavation company. Anderson Landscape employs a team of 25 dedicated, hardworking, year-round employees. Many have worked for the company for 25 years plus! We are looking to add to our team with individuals who are team oriented, have a strong work ethic, and are dedicated to contributing to high quality and well executed projects
We are looking to add an experienced Landscape Mason to our team! We are looking for an individual that is self-motivated, has a good attitude, and enjoys working as a team, and helping others.
**The starting rate of pay is commensurate with skills and experience
Job Duties:
- Responsible for layout, prep, and installing masonry and hardscape projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
- Repetitive lifting of objects and/or material weighing up to 50 lbs., frequent lifting of objects and/or material weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Being able to maintain uncomfortable or awkward body positions for extended periods
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely fashion, rigorously cleaning up after projects are completed, and completing all work according to specification, while working alongside the rest of the team.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of Experience in Masonry and hardscape installation
- General knowledge of how to run a jobsite
- Understand how to site grades and necessary compaction for base prep
- Experience installing retaining walls, chimneys, fire pits, walkways, patios and driveways, utilizing granite, stone and brick, and stone veneer
- Knowledge and experience working with masonry tools and heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders, excavators)
- Ability to layout and build stonewalls both dry and wet
- Knowledge of rebar, concrete, mortar
- Ability to template, cut, and install caps
- Valid Maine driver’s license and reliable way to work
