Are you this person??? Security Systems Technician who is employed with our company, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various types of access control systems. Such as, biometric readers; keycard readers, and intercom systems to ensure the security of a building or facility.
Your duties will include:
- Learning from our team of over 30 locksmiths and access control technicians
- Being a dependable team player with great collaboration ability
- Installing and configuring access control systems according to the customers specifications, including hardware and software installation.
- Performing regular maintenance checks to ensure the access control system is functioning properly
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing system issues, and repairing or replacing faulty components
- Conducting system upgrades and software updates as needed
- Providing technical support to customers, both in-person and remotely
- Collaborating with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Keeping detailed records of installation, maintenance, and repair work, including any parts used and hours worked
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in access control systems
Requirements:
- 3 years access control experience
- Customer Service skillset is a MUST
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of vocational or technical training in electronics, computer networking, or other related field preferred
- Relevant work experience in access control systems installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of access control systems, including hardware and software components
- Familiarity with various types of access control systems, such as proximity card readers, biometric readers, intercom systems, etc.
- Experience with electrical and low voltage wiring, as well as IT networking
- Locksmith skillset or willingness to learn the trade
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces as needed
- Valid drivers license
- Clean driving record
- Pass drug test and background check
- 40 hour work week
