Anderson, Murphy & Hopkins, L.L.P., a civil litigation defense firm in the Harbor District in Little Rock, is searching for an experienced litigation legal assistant. We are looking for a smart, energetic, detail-oriented individual who is looking for a long-term position with a great, family-oriented employer. The individual applicant must have strong written and oral communication skills and have excellent clerical skills. The applicant should have a minimum of three years of litigation experience. Some paralegal experience would be helpful but is not required.

-Understands complex legal documents.
-Prepares routine correspondence and pleadings.
-Proofs, verifies, and edits all documents created for accuracy, clarity, and formatting consistency.
-Reviews task list and calendar daily to assure deadlines are met.
-Organizes workload to meet established priorities and get time-sensitive documents out in a timely manner.
-Electronically files pleadings with courts.
-Prepares trial and deposition notebooks and trial exhibits.
-Communicates with clients on behalf of his/her attorneys and the firm to strengthen the lines of communication between the client and attorney.
-Assists in initial preparation of discovery responses.
-Reviews task list and calendar daily to assure deadlines are met.
-Organizes workload to meet established priorities and get time-sensitive documents out in a timely manner.
-Sets up video and other equipment for zoom conferences and at trial.
-Attends trial if necessary.
-Uses discretion and judgment when communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
-Handles confidential information professionally and consistent with legal and ethical policies.
-Alerts attorneys to any problems.
-Required to handle and lift 4” inch binders of records and boxes of documents.
-Performs all duties consistent with the policies and procedures of the firm.
