Customer Service Representative - Paint Retail

Anderson Paint Company: a third-generation family owned paint retailer, is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill a temporary full time posititon. This job offers 35-40 hours per week. No late nights, our stores are only open till 5:00p and 6:00p M-F. Possibly weekend hours till 2:00p.

What can you find at our stores? A great staff that will always help each other, most likely with a little sarcasm. Laughing, joking and smiles are commonplace. Customers (painters & homeowners) that appreciate all that we do and will know your name. What do we do here? We sell a wide range of paint coatings and related items to contractors, builders, and homeowners. We can teach you the nuts and bolts about paint. You just need to supply the personality.

Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to: servicing customers in the store, processing in-person and phone orders. Mixing and matching paint and stain (the nuts and bolts of our operation), stocking paint & supplies, cleaning, and possible deliveries. Requirements:

Able to see color. Sorry, color blindness does not work here.

Able to work periodically at our 4573 Washtenaw Ave. Location. (Different strokes, different folks)

High school diploma or equivalent certification (The hardware)

Exceptional customer service skills (Going that extra mile)

Detail oriented (Dot your i's and cross your t's)

Knowledge of basic computer/telephone skills (abc's and 123's. Hello, can you hear me now?)

Articulate and can engage in verbal and written communication skills (Not a caveman)

Ability to lift 70lbs. infrequently and 20-50lbs. regularly. (Working Out)

Bilingual candidates proficient in En5lish and Spanish a plus, but not required. (Habla Español?)
