What are the responsibilities and job description for the BUYER position at Anderson Regional Health System?
JOB SUMMARY
The buyer maintains several different functions daily. A buyer performs general secretarial duties and acts as a receptionist for the materials management department. Maintains departmental files in an orderly process. Greets all visitors and directs them to the appropriate department. Takes daily inventories to replenish stock. Non-stock orders are processed daily for various departments within the hospital. Participates in the semi-annual inventory of stock items. Prepare the paperwork for the items being returned to various companies, package the items in the necessary shipping materials, and makes the necessary arrangements with the carriers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas :
Education / Regulatory Requirements :
Bachelors degree in business administration, or 5 years of Supply Chain purchasing experience.
Minimum two (2) years of experience with the procurement function in the healthcare environment.
Skills :
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
