What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHAPLAIN-ASSOCIATE position at Anderson Regional Health System?
JOB SUMMARY
The associate chaplain projects God's love by providing pastoral care to patients, families and colleagues through routine and / or referral visitation, crisis and bereavement care, support activities, educational events, and worship services. These services are provided during the staff member's assigned shift and on-call rotations for nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Staff members are subject to recall as needed. The position is under the general supervision and direction of the director of Pastoral Care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas :
Education / Regulatory Requirements :
One year experience (two years preferred) in providing pastoral care through work in a church, previous service as a volunteer chaplain, or other related ministries.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university-preferably including coursework in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Care, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
400 hours (one unit) of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred
Eligibility for endorsement by the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
