What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist II Clinical Unit Based position at Anderson Regional Health System?
Provides total pharmaceutical care through the delivery of direct patient care pharmaceutical services, designing and monitoring drug therapy, patient counseling and education, and performance of quality assurance (performance improvement) activities. Assists with planning, organizing, and directing the clinical operations and initiatives of the Department of Pharmacy. Works directly with pharmacy leadership and medical staff to identify, develop, and implement cost savings initiatives. Serves as a resource person for Pharmacist I staff members. Serves as a liaison and resource to other healthcare professionals and provides professional education and training. Participates as a member of various multi-disciplinary committees. Demonstrates a commitment to professional development and maintains professional competence in higher areas of specialization : therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic monitoring, metabolic / nutrition support, adverse drug reaction detection and management, pharmacotherapeutics, and disease state management.
- Education / Regulatory Requirements :
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
