What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technologist position at Anderson Regional Health System?
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Reports to Surgery Manager and / or Director of Surgical Services.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic CPR.
- Skills :
- Knowledge of medical terminology and instruments used by the department
- Knowledgeable with cleaning and sterilization procedures and techniques
- Basic understanding of various functions of the department
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas :
Education / Regulatory Requirements :
High School diploma / GED.
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
