What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tech Neurology Sleep Lab position at Anderson Regional Health System?
JOB SUMMARYPerforms basic polysomnographic testing and associated interventions under the direct supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. May verify insurance, enters patient information into the HBO system. Subject to overtime and callback as required. Reports to Director of Sleep Center. Performs other duties as assigned.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates Competency in the Following Areas : Education / Regulatory Requirements : 6 months to one year of direct patient contact required.RPSGT, CRT-SDS, or RRT-SDS are required within 2 year of hire date.Experience preferred but not required.Current BCLS certification.Attends continuing education course / seminars when available.Skills : Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.Ability to monitor and interpret EEG wave patterns, read sleep studies, and score sleep tests.Experienced techs will be given and must pass a skills competency test prior to hire.
