One of Tampa Bay's top Healthcare companies is seeking a seasoned Sr Category Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication and management skills.
The role is responsible for identifying and managing a vendor supply base and will be responsible for identifying
and driving savings projects within assigned direct/indirect spend categories that add value and favorably impact
Company's bottom line. This role will manage and lead third party suppliers/contractors as well and holds vendors
to rigorous performance standards.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Leads and empowers team of Indirect or Direct category managers.
- Provides coaching, leadership and strategic direction in alignment with the Head of Procurement.
- Oversees and delivers the strategy/operations and financials nationally, as directed by the Head of Procurement.
- Builds comprehensive category plan for assigned spend areas to optimally manage supply to meet business
objectives. Responsible for managing spend related to Pap devices and associated supplies as well as for
delivering savings per budget/targets.
- Develops monthly/quarterly variance reports on all operating budgets on a timely basis.
- Actively engages internal stakeholders and key suppliers alike while utilizing a formal governance process
including performance assessment scorecards and periodic business reviews.
- Determines sourcing strategy and conducts negotiations accordingly.
- Drives optimization and ongoing performance improvement across supply base with scorecards, business reviews and productivity and innovation focus.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with cross functional counterparts, vendors, executives,
center location personnel alike.
- Manages the business relationship and ensures satisfaction within Lincare by providing a seamless interface with
business partners. Demonstrates leadership, responsiveness, and creativity.
- Ensures centers and their needs are maintained in compliance with minimum Lincare audit, compliance, health &
safety standards, client, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Maintains employee work schedules, trainings, vacations and paid time off; also must manage absenteeism and overtime scheduling.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree with supply chain management, finance, business administration, or analytic expertise Required
- Master's Degree or MBA Preferred
Work Experience:
- 5-7 years of Procurement experience in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant
- Required
- 3-5 years Management experience Required
- RFP/RFI experience including eProcurement software and processes. Preferred
