The Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting the Director of Sports Medicine with all aspects of the Sports Medicine Department including evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, documentation of athletic injuries, supervision and teaching of students in the Athletic Training program, and provide on-site coverage for athletic teams as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred. BOC certified. Must be willing to work with and supervise athletic training students in various stages of their education process. The successful candidate must have the ability to work as part of a team environment. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student population. An understanding of and commitment to the mission of a Christian college is required.

This is a 10-month, full-time position.

The Bill and Gloria Gaither Sports Medicine Center is located in the Kardatzke Wellness Center (KWC), a 132,000 sq. ft. facility providing programming for health, recreation, and wellness in all forms-spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
The Bill and Gloria Gaither Sports Medicine Center is a 4,000 sq. ft. space that houses 4 athletic trainers and 1 graduate assistant, a physician’s office, a large open treatment/rehabilitation area with appropriate modalities, locker rooms for staff, and an extensive hydrotherapy area, in addition to a 450 sq. ft. dedicated taping area.
