Description
Anderson University is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Biology at the Assistant Professor level, though higher ranks will be considered for extraordinary candidates. The successful candidate’s primary teaching responsibilities will be Anatomy and Physiology for nursing students, both lecture and lab, with opportunities to teach lower and/or upper division biology classes depending on their specialty.
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in biology research or other forms of scholarship that involve undergraduate students. The appointee will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Standard faculty duties such as advising, committee assignments, and scholarly activity are expected.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field by the start of employment. Candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred. Rank and tenure status will be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate.
Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application. Candidates must meet University lifestyle expectations.
