Position Overview
The Technician I, Maintenance is accountable to repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to established safety, predictive and productive maintenance procedures to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, building interior and exterior.
Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system
Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position. Work in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building.
Assist with plant activities as required
What is expected of you and others at this level
Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
Works within clearly defined standard operations procedures and or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
Works with close supervision
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
0-2 years’ relevant experience required
Desired Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of basic electrical theory.
- Ability to use precise measurement tools including but not limited to laser alignment, calipers, dial indicators and vibration analysis tools.
- Capable of operating scissor lift, JLG lift, forklift, sky track, front end loader, track mobile and bobcat.
- Ability to work at all heights.
- On call rotation
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
- Work is performed in a 24x7 Ethanol production facility.
- This job is subject to intermittent requirements for heavy lifting, climbing, working in strained positions and in confined areas, occasionally for a prolonged period.
- This job is required to work out of doors in all weather conditions with frequent exposure to noise, dirt and a dusty environment.
- The hazards are those associated with height and working around large machinery
