Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This position requires strong clinical skills, including the ability to take vital signs, understand medical terminology, and assist in blood draws
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical history and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans, medications, and follow-up appointments.
- Support the healthcare team in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with outpatient settings, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and trauma care is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
