We are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist, to play an essential role at AndHealth. This position is located at our corporate office in Columbus, OH.
This position will report to the Senior Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services. In the absence of a Senior Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services, this position will report to the next level manager unless otherwise defined or assigned.
Key Deliverables:
- Assist in the creation and updating of clinical protocols, collaborative practice agreements, factsheets, and databases used when making clinical decisions recommendations, completing assessments, or providing counseling to patients
- Support the medical and specialty pharmacy teams by prioritizing patient care and improving adherence and health outcomes related to medication management
- Participate as a pharmacist on AndHealth’s P&T Committee
- Assist in the preparation of initial and ongoing specialty pharmacy accreditation for URAC and ACHC
What you’ll do in the role:
- Assist in the development and review of protocols and collaborative practice agreements to be utilized to increase patient access and improve patient care
- Regularly review and be familiar with clinical guidelines and literature necessary to manage patients’ specialty care appropriately
- Actively participate in the URP process to ensure optimal medication therapy for each patient
- Regularly participate in the P&T Committee and maintain accessible and updated clinical recommendations for specialty conditions
- Evaluate new drugs to market and update global targeted drug list for specialty and specialty lite medications
- Prepare Proactive Risk Assessments for new to market medications
- Complete annual Safety Literature Assessment
- Actively provide clinical pharmacy services included in the Patient Management Program at partner heath center locations
- Lead Clinical Oversight Committee Meetings
- Participate in grand rounds with specialist to provide optimal medication recommendations per patient's disease state
- Become an expert and provide appropriate recommendations for supplement utilization in patients receiving specialty care
- Complete ongoing clinical audits focused on specialty pharmacy accreditation standards
- Draft and present white papers on clinical performance of specialty pharmacy services
- Provision of specialty pharmacy services at partner sites
- Any other duties as assigned
- PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
- Unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Ohio.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.
- 3 years of direct patient care experience in pharmacy is preferred.
- BLS/CPR are required (or must be willing to obtain within 1 month after start).
- Immunization delivery certification is preferred.
- 2 years of specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
- PGY1 residence or equivalent work experience preferred.
- CSP credential is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
- Comfortable with technology and ability to adapt to new systems.
- The position may require some travel. Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
