What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at Andora & Romano, LLC?
Busy elder-law firm in Paramus, New Jersey is seeking a full-time legal assistant/paralegal. Candidate should be friendly, dependable and flexible. Additionally, candidate should have good communication skills, accuracy and ability to multi-task. Previous experience in a law office is required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate effectively with the elderly and their care givers;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to read and interpret title reports, contracts, and corporate organizational documents;
- Ability to handle real estate transactions including drafting closing documents, deeds, reviewing closing statements and arrange closings;
- Ability to handle estate administration documents including preparing and filing probate documents, and correspondence to clients and beneficiaries;
- Preparation and filing of Estate/Inheritance tax returns
- Preparation and filing of Accountings with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office;
- Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering excellent client service;
- Ability to exercise good judgment, be highly organized and proactive;
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel;
- Notary Public license not required, but preferred.
