Responsibilities
Integrate social learning into the classroom and work to foster an identity-safe, empathetic, active learning community.
Develop and implement lesson plans for five classes of Math that articulate clear learning targets aligned with the 2017 Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics.
Communicate regularly with students and families and involve families as partners in their child’s education.
Collaborate with all team members, including but not limited to, special educators, instructional coaches, paraprofessionals, interventionists, and other support personnel.
Assess students regularly and refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to establish and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with a diverse staff and student body.
Knowledge of 2017 Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics.
A strong work ethic and a growth mindset.
Strong classroom community-building skills and restorative justice approaches to discipline.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Massachusetts Teacher Certification in 9-12 Mathematics required.
