Summary
As a Direct Support Professional at ADDS, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their daily living goals. Located in Franklin, Fairfield, and Delaware Counties, this position is essential to ensuring that our clients receive the compassionate and respectful care they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Provide medication administration and monitor patients' health as required.
- Support clients in achieving their personal goals and aspirations through tailored assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all clients.
- Document client progress and communicate effectively with team members regarding any changes in health or behavior.
- Encourage social interaction and community involvement among clients.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to administer medications and monitor patient health accurately.
- Compassionate attitude towards helping others achieve their goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
