Andrew Humphrey Engineering, LLC is an electric power engineering firm, located in Golden, Colorado. Our engineering services span across multiple industries, including renewable energy, electric power, oil and gas, water/wastewater treatment, recycling, mining, higher education, casinos, and commercial office buildings. We offer competitive base salaries with benefits plus additional compensation based on work performance. Employees can expect to start work at 7 am and sometimes face demanding work assignments with short timeframes. We are currently looking for senior electrical engineering job candidates as follows:
Candidates’ Responsibilities
- Perform detailed design of low and medium voltage electrical systems
- Develop and draft electrical drawings, including one-line, three-line, schematic and wiring diagrams, conduit and cable sizing/routing, and physical layouts
- Specify electrical equipment and review submittals/shop drawings
- Perform electrical calculations by hand and using analysis software, such as ETAP or SKM
- Perform electrical system studies, including short circuit, coordination and arc-flash
- Develop relay settings for SEL, GE, Beckwith, Basler, etc
- Review junior electrical engineers' work
Candidates’ Required Education, Experience & Qualifications
- BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree, from an accredited university
- Understanding of power system analysis, including symmetrical components
- Knowledge of NEC and IEEE/ANSI standards
- PE registration
- Experience with electrical engineering software
- Experience developing relay settings
- Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills
- Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Candidates’ Preferred Education, Experience & Qualifications
- BSEE or BSEET with power option
- MSEE with power option
- Experience with photovoltaic systems and other types of distributed generation
- Experience designing substation
- Experience with programmable logic controllers
- Experience with industrial electrical systems such as those found at water/wastewater treatment, recycling, oil and gas facilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
